Antalya is one of the largest and most dynamically developing cities in Türkiye, located on the Mediterranean coast. The city is the capital of the province of the same name and serves as an important administrative, tourist and cultural center of the region. Thanks to its favorable geographical location, Antalya has become a major international resort, hosting millions of tourists annually. The city’s infrastructure includes modern hotels, a developed transport network, an international airport and numerous cultural and historical sites.

The Old Town of Kaleiçi preserves architectural features of the Ottoman period, including narrow streets, stone houses and remnants of fortress walls. Among the most significant historical landmarks are Hadrian’s Gate, the Yivli Minaret and the old harbor. In addition to tourism, Antalya’s economy is based on agriculture, citrus production and the export of fruits and vegetables. The city is actively developing as a center for international exhibitions and sporting events. Due to its mild climate, natural landscapes and high quality of services, Antalya remains one of the key destinations of the Mediterranean region.

Rostov-on-Don took an active part in hosting Russian Culture Days and jazz festivals in Antalya. Such events contribute to strengthening cultural ties, expanding humanitarian dialogue and promoting Russian culture abroad.
