• Country: Belarus
• Population: ~2 million
Minsk is the capital of the Republic of Belarus and the country’s largest political, economic and cultural center. The city has a well-developed infrastructure, including a metro system, research and educational institutions, large industrial enterprises and a modern IT cluster represented by the High-Tech Park.
Minsk’s urban architecture was largely shaped during the Soviet period, resulting in wide avenues, ensembles of Stalinist Empire style and spacious squares. In recent decades, however, the city has undergone active modernization, with the construction of modern residential areas, sports facilities and business complexes.
Minsk is distinguished by a high level of greenery, with numerous parks and recreational zones. Key cultural landmarks include the National Library, Trinity Suburb, museums, theaters and concert venues. The city serves as the main transport hub of the country, ensuring international connectivity and domestic mobility.
Rostov-on-Don and Minsk demonstrate a high level of practical cooperation, primarily in the light industry sector. Products of the Belarusian textile, chemical and cosmetics industries, as well as food products, are widely represented in Rostov-on-Don and the Rostov Region. In turn, agricultural products from the Rostov Region are exported to Belarus.
The transport sector is a significant element of the partnership: buses manufactured by the Minsk Automobile Plant operate on passenger routes in Rostov-on-Don. In 2025, the first MAP multi-brand center was ceremonially opened in Rostov-on-Don, becoming an important symbol of deepening economic cooperation.
