Seville is the administrative center of Andalusia and one of Spain’s most important cultural cities. Owing to its rich history dating back to antiquity and the Arab period, Seville possesses architectural heritage of exceptional significance. The city plays a significant role in the regional economy as a center of tourism, agricultural industry, education and high technology. It is home to one of Spain’s largest universities, as well as research and aeronautical enterprises.
Seville is renowned for its cultural traditions, including flamenco, annual religious processions and vibrant gastronomy. The city is characterized by a hot climate, lively urban life and a strong identity shaped by centuries of cultural synthesis.
Rostov-on-Don and Seville actively cooperated within the framework of the international project «Goals of Cities». Representatives of Seville took part in business meetings organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Rostov-on-Don.
A key area of cooperation was the development of academic ties: Southern Federal University and the University of Seville signed a cooperation agreement aimed at expanding scientific and educational exchange.
